I started ESC Homes because I believe more people deserve a home they truly love — not someday, and not only if they can afford a big one.
For more than 25 years, I've helped Virginia families buy and sell homes. I've sat across the table from people priced out of the market, watched grown kids move back in with their parents, and helped families search for a place where aging parents could live close by — but still on their own. I've felt those frustrations myself. And I kept seeing the same gap: the “missing middle” — good, attainable homes for real life — simply wasn't being built.
Too often, “smaller” or “affordable” meant giving up beauty and quality — or settling for a modular box, a shed, or a tiny home that's more novelty than home and can't even be financed. I didn't think that was good enough. So instead of waiting for the industry to fix it, I decided to.
